Google released the beta of it's new web-browser today. Ars Technica has a detailed review:

Ars calls Chrome, "suprisingly polished" with "an assortment of highly promising features." And while most blog commenters have noted that the browser is still very clearly in beta, many report faster browsing thanks to the programs minimal system usage. Unfortunately, I'm unable to verify this myself on my Apple Macbook - if and when a Mac OS X version becomes available I will post a review here.
