Yes, that's yours truly working the foredeck at the Etchells Worlds this past Sunday. They are being sailed in Chicago this year. I put my name on a link as a possible crew and got contacted by a Brit who needed help on Sunday. I had mixed emotions as it's been 20 years since I've been on that boat. But it's The Worlds and I just had to hope for the best. Got to have that t-shirt. The foredeck is the most physical job plus has the most potential for screw up. Below leaving the harbor I bleed on the bloke's sail, a brand new North mainsail. Oh well, he did not really care. I reminded him that due to that blood I would always be with them. Well, I did not screw up but was rusty on my speed getting things done. That foredeck is one bouncing hard piece of fiberglass. On Monday I felt like I'd been in a car wreck. Stiff and wasted. It may take days to recoup. I'm glad I did it and the Brits were great and thankful for my help as their 20 something regular guy was not getting in until late Sunday.
